pratyaha prabhura bhiksa iti-uti haya

keha yadi mulya ane, cari-pana-nirnaya

SYNONYMS

prati-aha—daily; prabhura—of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; bhiksa—alms; iti-uti—here and there; haya—is; keha—someone; yadi—if; mulya ane—pays; cari-pana—four times eighty small conchshells; nirnaya—as a fixed amount.

Every day the Lord would take His meal at a different place, and if someone was prepared to pay for a meal, the price was fixed at only four panas.
