preme matta cali’ aila govardhana-grama
’harideva’ dekhi’ tahan ha-ila pranama
SYNONYMS
preme—in ecstatic love; matta—maddened; cali’-proceeding; aila—came; govardhana-grama—to the village known as Govardhana; hari-deva—the Deity named Harideva installed there; dekhi’-seeing; tahan—there; ha-ila pranama—offered obeisances.
Mad with ecstatic love, the Lord came to the village known as Govardhana.
It was there that He saw the Deity Harideva and offered His obeisances unto Him.
