kaste-srstye dhenu saba rakhila goyala
prabhu-kantha-dhvani suni’ aise mrgi-pala
SYNONYMS
kaste-srstye—with great difficulty; dhenu—the cows; saba—all; rakhila—kept back; goyala—the cowherd men; prabhu-kantha-dhvani—the musical voice of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; suni’-hearing; aise—came; mrgi-pala—flocks of deer.
It was with great difficulty that the cowherd men were able to keep the cows back.
Then when the Lord chanted, all the deer heard His sweet voice and approached Him.
