tumi ta’ isvara, tomara ache sarva-sakti

sanksepa-rupe kaha tumi sunite haya mati

SYNONYMS

tumi ta’—indeed You are; isvara—the Supreme Lord; tomara—of You; ache—there are; sarva-sakti—all potencies; sanksepa-rupe—briefly; kaha—please explain; tumi—You; sunite haya mati—I wish to hear “You are the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and therefore You have inconceivable energies.

I wish to hear from You briefly about the Brahma-sutra.”

PURPORT

Prakasananda Sarasvati said that he had already understood Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s explanation of the direct import of Brahma-sutra.

Nonetheless, he was requesting the Lord to briefly give the purpose and purport of the Brahma-sutra, the Vedanta-sutra.
