bhakti vina kevala jnane ’mukti’ nahi haya

bhakti sadhana kare yei ’prapta-brahma-laya’

SYNONYMS

bhakti—devotional service; vina—without; kevala—only; jnane—by philosophical speculation; mukti—liberation; nahi haya—there is not; bhakti—devotional service; sadhana—practice; kare—does; yei—anyone who; prapta-brahma-laya—as good as merging into the impersonal Brahman "One cannot attain liberation simply through philosophical speculation devoid of devotional service.

However, if one renders devotional service, he is automatically on the Brahman platform.
